I recently came across a few blog posts that list some of the “most anticipated” or “the best” new fantasy books for June. Since we’re over half way through the month—and many readers are starting to think of a summer reading list—I thought I’d see how popular these books really are.
Of all the books listed on four blog lists, none of them have hit Amazon’s “Top 20 Most Sold” or the “Top 20 Most Read” lists this month.
It seems to me that at least a few of the “best” would hit the Amazon bestseller list. But we’re talking about Fantasy books, and only a few Fantasy books make it to the “Top 20” lists of all genres. This month, only Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and of course, Good Omens hit the “Top 20” lists.
Even so, the “best” books on these lists could hit Amazon’s bestseller lists soon. Here are three of the most common titles that keep showing up recently.
